Jimmy & Mama Yancey "Chicago Piano Volume One" Lp on Atlantic Records, BLUES ORIGINALS VOL. 6 Biography James Edward Yancey, 20 February 1898, Chicago, Illinois, USA, d. 17 September 1951, Chicago, Illinois, USA. While still a small child Yancey appeared in vaudeville as a tap dancer and singer. After touring the USA and Europe he abandoned this career and, just turned 20, settled in Chicago where he taught himself to play piano. He began to appear at rent parties and informal club sessions, gradually building a reputation. Nevertheless, in 1925, he decided that music was an uncertain way to earn a living and took a job as groundsman with the city's White Sox baseball team. He continued to play piano and was one of the prime movers in establishing the brief popularity of boogie-woogie. He made many records and played clubs and concerts, often accompanying his wife, singer Mama Yancey, but retained his job as groundsman until shortly before his death in 1951. El álbum incluye algunas versiones, como 'Wake Up Little Susie', 'Love Makes The World Go Round' . El único trabajo de la Riverboat Soul Band en 1968. el sonido funky es bastante bueno. GRUESA CARPETA, nuemro escrito, VINILO EXC En algún lugar entre 'Hang on Sloopy' y White Trash de Edgar Winter, hubo un par de álbumes de los McCoys que asombrosamente cayeron en el olvido. Rick Derringer (Zehringer) logró mantener la banda y se unió a Mercury para crear algo muy alejado del garage rock de tres acordes que hicieron con Bang Records. El resultado fue una mezcla de psychedila y blues que estuvo cerca de la vanguardia de su tiempo. El álbum comienza con un rockero country vibrante, luego se establece en un rock de época influenciado por toques de blues rock. El épico cierre de más de 7 minutos del lado 1, 'Daybreak', tiene un solo de guitarra increíble cortesía de Rick Derringer, con efectos wah wah y acción de vientos. Fuertes movimientos psicodélicos entran en juego en 'Clergy Lies', una canción inquietantemente genial. 'It Really Doesn’t Matter' funciona con melodías sólidas de órgano / piano y sutiles efectos de sonido psicológico. Después de su primer concierto, La banda tocó 'The Whiskey' con Chicago (C.T.A.) Fueron firmados por Capitol Records. Neil dirigió la banda, y escribió y cantó todas las canciones. Una de las cosas que me encantan de estos viejos álbumes de Rod Stewart, , es que Rod Always tiene una gran mezcla de material. , realmente te anima o te toca el corazón de alguna manera. Este álbum fue más para afectar el corazón para mí, así que canciones como ACCUSTOMED TO HER FACE y MINE FOR ME, representaron la forma en que Rod Stewart los interpreta hacen de este un álbum muy conmovedor. Rod aún podría hacer eso en los álbumes posteriores más populares, incluso varias canciones en DA YA THINK I'M SEXY fueron emotivas, pero el riff de guitarra optimista en Blondes se divirtió más (la canción) fue para mí un gran ejemplo de una guitarra divertida. ... lo mismo con algunas de las melodías más populares de Rod, los ecos de las influencias de Rod están ahí, especialmente en el inolvidable riff de HOT LEGS con el pato volador V caminando por las vías del tren; de manera similar con este álbum, hace eco de tantas influencias diferentes que es muy inolvidable, muchas canciones hermosas. Espero que también te guste este álbum.

Dusty iniciaría su carrera en solitario en 1963 con el single "I Only Want To Be With You", canción con claras influencias de los grupos femeninos de soul de la Motown o los producidos por Phil Spector.
