Keith Smith, un excelente trompetista británico que dirigió la Climax Jazz Band, visitó los Estados Unidos en dos ocasiones separadas durante 1965-1966. En su viaje anterior, grabó seis selecciones con un grupo de pickup encabezado por el legendario clarinetista George Lewis.
La visita de 1966 tiene a Smith sustituyendo al trompetista Alvin Alcorn en un grupo de gira con el trombonista Jimmy Archey y el clarinetista Darnell Howard que era conocido como el New Orleans All Stars. En ambos casos, el estilo melódico y ligeramente primitivo de Smith encaja bastante bien con las bandas de revival. los fanáticos del jazz de Nueva Orleans disfrutarán de este esfuerzo contagioso.
